Different groups of hackers, scientists, coders and students are organized across the US to collect data from government servers and save it outside them. These groups believe that Donald Trump’s administration might want to disappear with important information about

Blockade

The isolating, closing off or surrounding of a place to prevent entrance, exit and even to inhibit construction works. Blockade techniques are often used in protests against industrial development.

Examples:

Chipko movement

The Chipko Movement was an environmental conservation movement that took place in India in the 1907, working to decrease rapid deforestation. Their non-violent Gandhian methods

included guarding and hugging the trees to prevent the felling from loggers.

Boycott

A way of using monetary or buying power, as well as a way of generating "awareness."

Participants of a boycott refuse to buy or use a company's products or services as a response to specific corporate practices, beliefs, or other actions done by a specific company or group of companies.

Examples:

Greenpeace calls Shell boycott after Alaska drilling go ahead

Greenpeace has launched a boycott action against Shell in response to the oil company receiving permission from the American government for drilling in Alaska.
