Examples:

The Story of Silent Spring

Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring.The 1962 book exposed the hazards of the pesticide DDT on the environment and galvanized many to join in the American environmental movement. It helped prepare the worldwide rise of the environmental and Green movements.

Lobbying

Lobbying (also Persuasion) is the act of attempting to influence the actions, policies, or decisions of officials in their daily life, most often legislators or members of regulatory agencies. Lobbying is done by many types of people, associations and organized groups, including individuals in the private sector, corporations, fellow legislators or government officials, or advocacy groups (interest groups).

Examples:

Deutsche Unternehmensinitiative Energieeffizienz" (DENEFF)

The industry association unites frontrunner companies in the field of energy efficiency to collectively represent their political interests for an effective and ambitious energy efficiency regulation in Germany. DENEFF publishes statements on draft bills and gives recommendations to policy makers.
